Last Friday, Vertech Group Australia was very excited to hear that Geo Oceans won the “2022 Australian Subsea Exporter of the Year” at the Australian Subsea Business Awards. The event was held at the WA Museum Boola Bardip to celebrate the best in Australia’s subsea and ocean-based industry hosted by Subsea Energy Australia.
The Exporter of the Year award celebrates an Australian company with international success in exporting Australian subsea and ocean-based technologies and capabilities, demonstrating export growth or global expansion. Geo Oceans has done just that, sending personnel and equipment from Australia to deliver marine class inspections and survey work across the globe.
The award is a testament to the Geo Oceans team’s depth, passion, and resilience. During one of the most challenging landscapes of a generation, they have continued to export Australian innovation to the Americas, Africa, and SE Asia region.
The combination of Vertech’s Marine class pedigree and the Geo Oceans subsea innovation has seen them generate significant value for major global operators.
This is a team to be proud of, and having an insight into their current focuses and development collaborations with sister company Sonomatic, I’m excited to see what lies ahead.
