Late last year, one of my very own, Paul Lavender, was elected the President of AINDT’s WA branch. Paul has been a valued member of the Vertech team over the last five years, especially in his role as Business Services Manager.
Paul has been a devoted member of the NDT community for several years. Originally starting his NDT journey within the UK, Paul soon ventured to WA, having joined AINDT as a general member in 2015.
I have been involved in the NDT industry for several years, specifically with AINDT for seven years. It is an honour to be the President of the WA Branch of AINDT, and I look forward to engaging with the members to provide the best service possible here in WA.
Thanks must go to the brilliant members of the council who volunteer their time to make sure everything gets done, to the AINDT Federal office for their assistance, and to Vertech for supporting and encouraging me to give the time to support AINDT.
Paul’s appointment is especially exciting for us as he joins another one of our Group members at AINDT, Irene Pettigrew, the federal Vice-President of the leading certification and membership body. Adding Paul and Irene to AINDT shows how committed our staff here at Vertech are to their fields of work. Furthermore, it shows their willingness to give back to their industry, ensuring that NDT technicians throughout Australia receive the correct support.
