As we prepare for another riser column inspection campaign, our offshore team are updating and refreshing their confined space entry, rescue & breathing apparatus competencies in our dedicated WA training facility.
As a Project Manager in the offshore oil & gas industry, I find it very daunting to plan a project that will put people into a known high-risk environment that, if not carefully controlled, can cause serious harm, injury, or worse. That is why having access to facilities where you can train for every eventuality is so important for Vertech and our clients.
Our training facility team applied our extensive industry knowledge to develop and implement specialist training packages that closely replicate the conditions and environment of offshore operating assets. This has allowed the project team to hone their skills by conducting practical demonstrations and rescue simulations for all likely events offshore.
This not only reduces our clients’ health & safety risks to as low a reasonably practicable (ALARP) position, but it has also proven essential to reducing schedule and budget overrun risks for our clients.
